You can still register to vote. Grace period registration continues through November 3, and early voting begins October 22.

Grace Period Registration

Grace period registration is available at the Lake County Central Permit Facility, 500 W. Winchester Road, Libertyville, Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. until November 2, and Saturday, October 27 and November 3 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Applicants must be U.S. citizens, residents of their precinct for 30 days before Election Day, 18 years old on or before the election, and provide two forms of identification. Those who register under the grace period provision must vote at the time of registration.

Early Voting: October 22 through November 3

Voting early in-person is now shortened to two weeks and begins 15 days prior to Election Day. Any registered voter in Lake County may choose to vote early and is required to present valid government-issued identification containing their photograph. Each voter has a convenient local early voting site that is open Monday through Friday 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m. and Saturday 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Early voting ends the Saturday prior to Election Day.
