Conservation Area Volunteer Day

posted May 12, 2013, 6:09 AM by Brian Donahoe
Sunday May 19, from 9-12.

Please join us for our first volunteer day of the year. It will be a fun way to help your community while spending time with your neighbors. We have secured a grant from the Watershed Management Board that will help with our effort this year but we will need to help too, with volunteer hours. This Sunday we will be pulling garlic mustard and other invasive species and repairing the wood chip paths that were damaged by the heavy spring rain. The trees and shrubs that were planted last year came through great. Many thanks to the Scouts and their helpers that did the hard work of planting and to our watering volunteers who got us through the drought!

Join us at the Conservation Area (next to the beach) to help with this effort! Bring your own heavy duty gloves and bug spray. Please help us spread the word as we do not have e-mails for all CLA members. This would also be a great opportunity for any young people needing service hours!!
