Conservancy Area Volunteer Day

Saturday, June 11th, 9:30-noon. This past year has been an exciting time for our ecological restoration project at the CLA Conservancy Area (formerly known as Lot 16). We have used funds from both the Watershed Management Board Grant and the CLA Budget to begin restoration of this degraded lot to a beautiful natural area with native grasses and wildflowers, but we still need CLA member volunteer hours! The more we can do as volunteers, the more we can plant! Most of the heavy work has been done and the focus this Saturday will be on pulling garlic mustard and other invasive species. CLA members, please join us at the Conservancy Area (next to the beach) to help with this effort!  Bring your own heavy duty gloves. We will also have woodchips to add to the existing paths and one new path. I have heard that the CLA children love running along the paths and there has been good feedback about the beautiful new signs!  Please help us spread the word as we do not have e-mails for all CLA members. This would also be a great opportunity for any young people needing service hours!! For questions, call Rosemary or Sharon, or click here for more details (this will prompt you for your Members-Only login credentials if you already aren't logged in).
