Countryside Lake Conservation Area Volunteer Day

Saturday, June 7

9-noon

We hope you have been enjoying the display of native plants at the Countryside Lake Conservation Area! Last fall McGinty Brothers performed a controlled burn and volunteers collected and distributed a great deal of seed. The new growth this spring looks great! This volunteer day we will be planting plugs of native forbs that will contribute to the floral display in some of the areas that have mostly grasses.

Join us at the Conservation Area (next to the beach) to help with this effort!  Bring your own heavy duty gloves and a trowel or small shovel to plant plugs.  Please help us spread the word as we do not have e-mails for all CLA members. This would also be a great opportunity for any young people needing service hours!
